AOC Releases Curved AGON 32″ HDR FreeSync2 Gaming Monitor

AOC has just announced the release of it’s very first premium gaming monitor, the AGON. The AGON monitor is equipped with HDR support, AMD FreeSync2, and features a curved 32″ display. The monitor is targeted mostly towards gamers and high end system builders who demand performance and visual quality over anything else.

The maximum resolution supported by the AOC AGON monitor is 2560 × 1440 at 144Hz. (QHD). While gaming, visuals will appear clean and crisp when combining the high refersh rate with AMD FreeSync2 all on a 4ms response time.  The curved VA panel offers extremely vibrant colors ranges and uses high dynamic range for a truly immersive and visual pleasing gaming experience. The monitor’s curved screen conforms to the way the eye sees and should help reduce eye fatigue during long gaming sessions.

AMD’s FreeSync2 synchronizes the display’s refresh rates at the hardware level with a supported AMD GPU. This helps to eliminate screen-tearing and minimize display stutter and input lag to provide a smooth, fast and visually stunning gaming experience, even more so when combined with HDR visuals.

Some additional features included in the AOC AGON monitor are Shadow Control, and LowBlue Mode. When using AOC’s Shadow Control option, PC gamers can fine tune the shadow levels by using the on-screen display menu adjust a form of contrast for better dark or shadow areas without affecting the rest of the screen. Low Blue Light mode works the way it sounds. It’s purpose is to reduce adverse short wavelength blue light without sacrificing color quality. This should help to reduce eye fatigue in low light situations.
