Gigabyte has just announced its latest mid-tier RTX 2060 graphics cards boasting the new Nvidia Turing architecture. The new Gigabyte cards will be under both Gigabyte and AORUS branding depending on the model. The Gigabyte or AORUS RTX 2060 graphics cards will roll out in six different verities which will differ based on factory overclocks, and cooling design; this includes options for liquid cooled GPUs as well. The new AORUS cards will be under the following model numbers:
- AORUS GeForce RTX 2060 XTREME 6G
- GeForce RTX 2060 WINDFORCE OC 6G
- GeForce RTX 2060 GAMING OC PRO 6G
- GeForce RTX 2060 GAMING OC 6G
- GeForce RTX 2060 OC 6G
- GeForce RTX 2060 MINI ITX OC 6G
Each cards will feature 6GB of GDDR6 memory unlike the GTX 1060 series graphics cards which rolled out with either 3GB or 6GB of onboard memory. The AORUS version of the RTX 2060 will be Gigabyte’s top dog will will likely feature the most aggressive cooling system with the highest possible factory overclock.
The RTX 2060 Windforce graphics card will feature three 100mm cooling fans to provide excellent cooling performance with almost silent operation. The GeForce RTX 2060 GAMING OC PRO and the GeForce RTX 2060 GAMING OC are also triple fan solutions which use Gigabyte’s “Alternate Spinning” fan design to increase airflow efficiency.
The RTX 2060 MINI ITX OC card is obviously designed for smaller ITX builds. The overall length is shortened from 230mm to only 170mm to ensure fitment with small, compact cases.
RGB lighting is also an option which can be controlled using Gigabyte’s software which can be downloaded from the card’s product page. Users have the ability to customize the lighting options to match the rest of the RGB components to further personalize the GPU to their specific build.
