ASUS Launches ROG Delta and ROG Delta Core Gaming Headsets

ASUS ROG Delta Gaming Headset Detail

The gaming division of ASUS, the Republic of Gamers has just launched two new headsets, the ROG Delta and the ROG Delta Core. Both headsets are specifically targeted towards first-person shooter (FPS) gaming and feature Sony Hi-Res Audio and are designed to provide comfort during extended gaming sessions.

The ROG Delta features a hi-fi-grade ESS ES9218 QUAD DAC, which delivers crystal clear and detailed audio to the user. Connectivity for the ROG Delta is provided by a USB-C connector with a USB 2.0 adapter if needed making it compatible with older PCs and consoles. Unlike the Delta, the ROG Core, features a single 3.5mm jack rather than a USB powered DAC.

“ROG Delta features an ESS ES9218 QUAD DAC that provides lossless audio processing with each DAC devoting its processing power to a subset of the audible frequency range, from lows, mids, highs to ultra highs. The four signals are then combined, which produces clearer sound with an impressive 127dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) that’s much higher than any similar technology that’s currently available in the market. As a result, gamers can hear and place in-game sounds with pinpoint accuracy, letting them precisely judge enemy distance, the direction of footsteps, gunshot locations and more.”

The drivers have been updated with Audio Signal Diversion technology, giving them a circular wall that helps separate high-, low- and mid-frequency sounds, reducing interference between frequency ranges for purer and clearer audio. The drivers also feature a wide frequency response of 20Hz-40kHz to provide incredibly strong bass and optimized gaming sound, so gamers can hear every detail while enjoying an all-around immersive acoustic experience. Housing the ASUS Essence drivers is an exclusive airtight-chamber design fine-tuned by ASUS audio engineers to provide a wider sound stage and balanced output for pristine, natural-sounding audio.

Both the ROG Delta and ROG Core feature a closed ear design to cancel out as much background noise as possible. The ergonomic D-shaped ear cups with ROG Hybrid ear cushions provide upgraded comfort for gaming without fatigue. The drivers have been tilted by 12 degrees to more closely match the natural angle of the ear to provide added comfort. The ROG Delta and ROG Delta Core both feature a lightweight design with optimized clamping force to reduce long-term discomfort.
