ASUS has just announced the release of it’s brand new ultra-slim gaming laptop the ROG Zephyrus S GX701. With portability being a primary feature, it packs in tons of high end features such as Nvidia RTX graphics and a high end Intel Core i7 8750H processor.
The 17″ laptop was just announced at today during CES 2019 and will be available for pre-order soon. Pricing and specific availability has yet to be announced.
The original ROG Zephyrus redefined ultra-slim gaming laptops with a compelling cocktail of innovative cooling, premium display, and powerful GPU. Working closely with NVIDIA, we deployed the first GeForce graphics with Max-Q Design in a sumptuously sleek system capable of delivering an exceptional gaming experience rivaling much larger desktops.
The display on the ROG Zephyrus S GX701 features a 1080p IPS panel which operates at at 144Hz. Nvidia G-Sync is also enabled for smooth and stutter-free gameplay. When not in game, Nvidia Optimus technology automatically switches to the discrete graphics card to save power as G-Sync would demand a high amount of energy.
The integrated 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H boasts six cores and 12 threads with a peak Turbo clock of 4.1GHz. 8GB of onboard memory is available with upgrade options up to 24GB.
Per-key RGB backlighting for each key is also supported and controlled via ASUS software. Users are able to toggle between a plethora of different colors and effects to further personalize their experience.
