Thermaltake has just announced the release of its brand new lineup of high end RGB waterblocks, the Pacific V-RTX 2080 Plus and the Pacific V-RTX 2080 Ti Plus. These new high end RGB water blocks are engineered specificially for the ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti graphics cards.
The RGB functions are completely software controlled which can be interfaced through several different sources such as the TT RGB Plus software which can be downloaded from Thermaltake’s Website. RGB lighting on the water blocks can be controlled by voice control functions through Amazon Alexa. RGB synchronization is also supported by ASUS Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Lighting, and ASRock RGB Sync.
Performance-wise, the Pacific V-RTX 2080 water block utilizes a 0.5mm internal fin design to quickly dissipate heat from the graphics card. The full-coverage block consists of an aluminum alloy back plate for the base and acrylic for the cover plate. The GPU contact area consists of a mirror finished copper plate to aid in effective heat transfer.
Thermaltake also included an aluminum alloy back plate for the reverse side of the graphics card. Measuring in at 4mm thick, the back plate fully covers the exposed PCB area of the graphics card while assisting in decreasing overall temperatures.
