AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 50th Anniversary Edition Signed by Lisa Su

AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 50th Anniversary Edition Featured

Recent leaked images have revealed a limited edition Ryzen 7 2700X 50th Anniversary Edition processor to commemorate AMD’s 50 year anniversary. As of today, there has been no official announcement from AMD regarding the special edition Ryzen 7 2700X, or if there are any other special edition processors around the corner. According to the leaked images, the processor bears the signature of Dr. Lisa Su, president and SEO of AMD.

The leak was originally reported over at Videocardz as as far as we know the new CPU features custom black and gold packaging. The CPU cooler appears to be unchanged, featuring the Wraith Prism cooler. It is unclear at this point if the chips differ in any way such as clock speed, however at this point it is too early to tell. The original AMD Ryzen 7 2700X features an eight-core die running at 3.7GHz base and 4.3GHz boost clocks.

Since everything at this point is unconfirmed, aside from the pretty cool packaging, there is no telling what surprises this CPU could feature. Since the AMD 3000 series processors are right around the corner (Computex 2019), it will be interesting to see how the older generation CPU compares, or if we’ll be seeing special releases of the new models as well. We will continue to provide information as to the new AMD Ryzen 7 2700x 50th Anniversary edition as it becomes available.
