ASUS ROG Phone Details and Specifications

Asus ROG Phone

There’s been a lot of talk about the upcoming Asus ROG phone in the news recently especially. It is quite a bold of a move it is for a company like Asus to venture into the mobile phone market. A market that is already very competitive. While a lot of phones can handle gaming pretty well, the new ROG phone from Asus is meant to handle exclusively that. The phone features a very aggressive, ROG inspired design with a new cooling system exclusive to the ROG phone to keep the guts nice and cool.

Like many of the higher end phones on the market today, the ROG Phone is powered by a Snapdragon 845 CPU. What sets this phone apart are the clock speeds which have been bumped up to 2.96GHz. Typically we see clock speeds from this processor ranging from 2.3-2.8GHz. With higher clock speeds comes heat right? Asus has turned to it’s own home brew 3D vapor-chamber cooling system.

Android Central recently published a Youtube Video highlighting the phone and discussed many of it’s capabilities. Definitely worth a watch and will answer all of your questions:

There are a lot of other cool perks included with this phone such as the ROG logo lighting up when you launch a game indicating that you are in “Game Mode”.  Another cool feature is the AeroActive cooler that attaches to the back of the phone. This effectively acts as an external cooling fan. This attaches to the side port of the phone and begins cooling once fully attached.

One of the Asus ROG Phone’s greatest strengths is the 4000mAh battery. Once of the biggest produced in any phone. As this phone is presented as a gaming device, it definitely requires some serious battery power to last during those long gaming sessions.
