MSI Releases New Trident X Mini Gaming PC

MSI Trident X Gaming Desktop

MSI has just announced the release of its new MSI Trident X compact gaming desktop which features MSI GeForce RTX 2080 graphics card and a new Intel Core i9 9900K processor. The new desktop will offer extreme gaming performance in a small compact 10-liter case.

The new i9 9900K processor will provide a massive amount of performance in a tiny case. The CPU will overclock quite well, especially since we’ve recently learned that the CPU lid will be soldered. Cooling for the Trident X will be on a traditional air cooler, so no telling how far you’ll be able to push the CPU. In addition to the lightning fast processor, gamers can take advantage of the latest advances in GPU technology such as raytracing with the new Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti graphics. With both a very high end CPU and GPU, gaming on multiple monitors should not be a problem.

Ease of access is also a main feature of the new MSI Tritent X. Users will have easy access inside the case to easily swap out components such as the graphics card, CPU, RAM and storage devices. The side panel features a tempered glass side window which unhinges easily when access is needed. The side panel also houses a single RGB LED equipped fan to keep temperatures down on the CPU.

The Trident X also features RGB lighting on the front of the case which can be controlled easily through MSI’s customized software.

“The Trident X is one of the most unique and beautiful designs we’ve created so far. It’s lightweight enough to carry to events, easily upgradable and immensely powerful. Gamers are going to love adding the Trident X to their battle station. –Charles Chiang, General Manager of Desktop Platform Solutions at MSI.”

The PC is cooled by MI’s unique Silent Storm Cooling system which segments the airflow in the case to provide cooling to critical components. Each component such as the CPU and GPU are isolated from one another so that heat is not transferred from one to another.

The MSI Trident X will be released in November starting at $2,299 USD. More details can be found on MSI’s product page: https://www.msi.com/Desktop/Trident-X-9th/

This little beast is really power packed but will it able to provide sufficient cooling to CPU and GPU?
