PCI Express 4.0 to double throughput to 16 GT/s

PCI-E 4.0 has been in the works and it's suppose to double the speed of existing PCI-E interface to 16 GT/s. Maybe we will see this on the upcoming Z77, Z75 and H77 Ivy Bridge chipsets.

Man, thats crazy, I cannot Waite to see the games that will take full advantage of the the video-cards that will support that.

meh...they can barely make a video card that can saturate the buses we have. it is interesting that there moving on to 4.0 alrready though.

Yeah there isn't a single desktop GPU that is held back by a PCI-E 2.0 x 16 slot. Only the most powerful cards are held back by a 1.1 x 16 slot. But this may be useful outside of desktop computing.
