How Many Case Fans Do You Use?
I almost made it to 10 LOL. As of now I have 8. I will soon be adding a fan on the bottom of the case.
3x 120mm in the front (intake)
1x 120mm on the top (exhaust)
1x 120mm on the back (exhaust)
1x 90mm on the back (exhaust)
1x 120mm inside the HDD cage hitting he GPU (intake)
1x 250mm on the side (intake)
I currently have 5 case fans on my NZXT M59 case.
1x 120mm front intake fan.
1x 120mm Blue LED side intake fan.
1x 120mm Blue LED rear exhaust fan.
2x 140mm Blue LED top exhaust fan.
I have 5 fans and I hate them all because fans suck as I want water cooling -.-
That poll looks terrible.... Edit colors time.
I think I have 9. That includes one on my CPU cooler.
1, 80mm 😀
I use to run more but I've taken it down to 7 😛
1x 230mm Front
1x 230mm Top
1x 230mm Left
1x 140mm back
A standard CoolerMaster HAF 932 xD
I have about 4 lol 🙂
But that's going to change when I get my own watercooled pc
Case does not include CPU or GPU fans, just the ones on the case.
I have a 2x 180mm fans on the bottom of my case blowing up, and 1 120mm on the top blowing out right above my CPU.
No GPU fans?? I'd like to see that...
I'm not saying dont put a fan on your GPU, Im saying that this thread is asking how many "CASE" fans you have, meaning fans attached to your case. Not how many fans total in your computer. If I counted that I would have 2 more fans, giving me a total of 5.
Oh gotcha. LOL yeah that makes sense... Musta read that wrong. 😳
Just a little update... now I have 12 case fans but I might change the configuration again. Here is how it stands at the moment. The case is still the ATCS 840, but more mods.
Front: 2x 120mm Intake Fans - Cooler Master SickleFlow 120mm x 25mm, one has blue LEDs, 1800 RPM/69.69 CFM/19 DBA, sleeve bearings
Bottom: 2x 120mm Intake Fans - Cooler Master SickleFlow 120mm x 25mm blue LED, 1800 RPM/69.69 CFM/19 DBA, sleeve bearings
Side: 2x 120mm Intake Fans - Thermalright FDB 120mm x 25mm, 2000 RPM/80.5 CFM/38 DBA, fluid dynamic bearings
Top: 1x 230mm Exhaust Fan - Cooler Master 230mm x 30mm, 700 RPM/110 CFM/19 DBA, sleeve bearings
Rear: 2x 120mm Exhaust Fans (one is in an external VGA air duct) - Cooler Master SickleFlow 120mm x 25mm, one has blue LEDs, 1800 RPM/69.69 CFM/19 DBA
I think the top fan is hurting my performance yet AGAIN... I thought it would be necessary due to the 161 CFM coming in from the side. My GTX 480 load temps only went down 4 degrees Celsius. Idle temps went down 2-3 degrees. I'll remove the top fan and see how my temps are affected. I'll be adding another 120mm front intake fan as well. I'll have to sacrifice my rear exhaust fan (not the on in the external VGA air duct) because I have a Rexus 120mm x 38mm fan ready for my Megahalems (2705 RPM/114.7 CFM/45.5 DBA, hydro wave bearings). A 120mm x 25mm rear exhaust fan might not fit and even if it does, it will bottleneck the exhaust from the Rexus fan unless I use a Delta 120mm x 25mm screamer.
My ATCS 840 side panel mod.
So I have 590mm of exhausting power (soon to be reduced to 360mm) and 720mm of intake power.
Currently only using the 3 140 my CM 690 II Adv came with but have moved the one that was on the back side to the top. Planning to put some more (that thing has holes for 10!!!) but that's left for the unforeseen future when I have the few extra bucks 😀
