The yet to be released and much awaited 22m die shrink of Sandy Bridge has the codename Ivy Bridge. The Sandy Bridge mobile i7s such as the 2720/2820 QM are incredible laptop CPUs also which is already out but not mostly arent using it. The even outperform a good deal of the desktop i7 chipsSo. Intel is going to do it again and create insane line of processors and since intel's new gen processor is going to be a 22NM with Sandy Bridge CPU-E Ivy Bridge. So does this mean we have to buy an all new motherboard? Or is their a motherboard out there that supports it right now? This will be superb especially to overclocking enthusiast.
I think Ivy Bridge will work on Sandy Bridge mobos.

Ivy Bridge is confirmed to use the LGA 1155 sockets the same as Sandy Bridge. Sandy Bridge -E though are a whole new thing as far as I know.

Didn't you just buy your new parts, no use in upgrading your CPU so quickly.

lol if anything it should be graphics cards, you won't notice much of anything if you upgraded in such a short time.
