Re-Certified Hard Drives?
Looking at getting another HDD for my Mini PC since all its got in there is an 80gb and it's already running low.
I was looking at 1TB drives but I wanna save some cash so I found a Western Digital Caviar 320GB on Newegg that has been Re-Certified. Now my question is, maybe some of you guys have experience with Re-Certified hardware, are re-certified hard drives reliable? They won't give out in a year or anything right? Re-Certified just means that it was returned and Newegg is putting it back up for sale am I correct?
Here is the specific product: Click Here!
I have no experience with recertified HDD's, but i've seen many go for under $50.00 bucks at E-tailers.
I would keep my eyes open and wait for a deal on a new one.
But for 25 bucks can't go wrong, unless you lose your data to a bad HDD :crybye:
i don't go anything recertified.
Some e-tailers don't even check if its in working order. They just put it back on the shelf and make the extra $$$
According to new egg:
“Recertified” products have been tested to ensure compliance with original manufacturer specifications, and MAY include a limited manufacturer warranty – see the item's product page for details"
Hmmm. I really didn't want to spend $50 on a hard drive.
I mean, I trust newegg...You guys think it would be alright?
If I decide otherwise I'll just get this Samsung Spinpoint F4.
Seems to have very good reviews.
ied do you really think they do?
enad if you can find a f3 go for that. F3 are very fast hdds
I'm only quoting from the website there mate 🙂
