Don't buy one if you still plan on getting the Thermalright Shaman. It requires mounting hardware on the back of the PCB so the two products won't work together.
Well I won't be getting the Shaman any time soon. I want to have some time on this warranty. I don't want it to somehow die within a few weeks after me putting the Cooler on and then I'm shit out of luck because I voided the warranty. I'll wait awhile.
lol, EVGA's warranty doesn't work like that. You can install aftermarket coolers and water blocks and not void the warranty. The only requirement is - for RMA or step-up, the stock cooler must be installed. Same thing for BIOS modding. You only need the stock BIOS installed to be eligible for RMA or step-up.
Oh well I guess I might get one eventually. Still not very soon. I'm really not having any heat problems at all.
If you have some good dremmel and sanding skills, you could probably make the backplate work with the shaman. 😉

Here you go clama. I'm going to be getting one as well. I'm sure it will fit on a Zotac.

Yeah. I made a thread about it awhile ago and was in the recently posted in thing for awhile..
I never understood these heat issues people had with 480s, mine ran pretty cool most of the time.

Crappy cases or they couldn't take the noise.

It also protects the exposed circuitry on the card from damage.
I'll hope to get one soon. 🙂
