And if you said you did, Enda would like you even more 😀
i think Edna's right. sometimes when i'm up in Maine @ a gas station w/ a map in my hand, the attendant will look at me and say.." Lost eh ? " :lmao:
i'm getting the i7-950 for $250. i can get the 930 for $200. but for $50. now i feel like i won't need to upgrade as soon at some point.
now all i have to do is talk myself into the extra $100. for the 'Classified3 X58' over the plain jane one.:eyeroll:
I never mentioned ping here ignore ping we are talking about processors. If your ping is 30 in a server and so is the other guy's , then fps matters!
Noobs
No, not noobs. Stop being arrogant.
FPS is highly unlikely to matter, i'll explain later tonight when i'm back from school ¬_¬
Can't we end this fps/ping once and for all?
Pro>Noob
.
Llotse, I'd wait for teh Sandy Bridges to become available to buy. Cheaper AND better performing!
But... No triple channel DDR3. 😀
Which is why I'm waiting. Among many other reasons.
how do you find out what your 'ping' is and what 'fps' you're running at ?
also, what does 'fps' stand for ? ( aside from 'feet per second') i know what ping is.
Frames Per Second... The amount of pictures you have in a second.. 24 is the cinema standard for smooth movement. In reality you want 30+

Well for people who have already upgrade like me and you, its a wise decision to wait but for some one just upgrading now, the new Sandy Bridge series is their best bet.
Yep agreed. If you use your rig primarily for gaming, then there really is no need at this time, as P55 and X58 still give awesome gaming performance. If you use your CPU and Ram for other tasks such as video editing, or 3D rendering, upgrading might be a wise move.

I wasnt arrogant I was factual. And I got called a noob too but I take it as a joke you know! No need to be serious its just a forum :/ jeez
Thing happen at the same time, but you see less pictures(If you have a lower FPS, unless you're over your monitors limit) which means there are different reaction times, but it barely matters, the problem is that the game won't flow smoothly.
Ok lets end this argument too...
